Basic Collar for dogs with shorter neck

The everyday collar, in a colour that's actually yours. Clean lines, soft leather, and a shade you won't see on every other dog in the park.

• Two leathers, one collar: a colourful genuine leather outer layer and a natural vegetable-tanned core that darkens to a deep caramel as you use it. It doesn't stretch out with use, so the fit you choose is the fit you keep.
• Cut and stitched by hand in our Budapest studio, in small batches.
• Made to mix and match: pair it with any MADZAG leash or Bagpouch, in the same colour or a contrast.

Limited colours: we use deadstock leather, the leftovers of Italian production. Each colour comes in small batches, and when it's gone, it's gone.

Fit, short-neck version: 1.5 cm wide in XS, 2 cm in S, 2.5 cm in M–L, 3 cm in XL–XXL. Measure your dog's neck and pick the size whose range it falls in (size guide).

Fit, long-neck version: 4 cm at the widest point, tapering to 2.5 cm at the buckle, so the pressure spreads across a slim neck. Made for greyhounds, whippets, borzois, Afghan hounds, Bedlington terriers, poodles and other long-necked dogs.

Care: Treat it like a good pair of leather shoes. Like shoes, leather lasts longer when it gets a rest, so rotating two sets is better than wearing one every day. Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth, let it dry at room temperature away from radiators, and condition it every few months. It isn't made for swimming. Repairs: worn stitching or a tired carabiner? Send it back to the studio; a carabiner swap is 2,000 HUF.
