Refund policy

You can return any ready-made item within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. We refund the item and the cost of our cheapest standard delivery (except on partial returns). You pay the cost of sending it back.

1. Changing your mind (right of withdrawal)

  1. Tell us within 14 days of receiving your order. Email madzagdog@gmail.com with your order number, or use the model withdrawal form below. A clear statement is enough; the form is optional.
  2. Send the item back within 14 days of telling us, to: MADZAG, 1025 Budapest, Battai út 5., Hungary. Please do not send it cash on delivery.
  3. We refund you at the latest within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the payment method you paid with. We may wait to refund until the item arrives back or you send proof of posting.

We only have to refund the cost of our cheapest standard delivery option; if you chose a more expensive option, we do not refund the difference. Partial withdrawal (orders with several products): if you ordered several products but return only some of them, the delivery cost is not refunded, because it would have been charged for the products you keep anyway. You pay the return shipping.

You may handle the item as you would in a shop to check it. If it shows wear beyond that, for example it has been worn on walks, we may reduce the refund by the loss in value.

2. Exchanging for a different size

Wrong size? We will swap it for free, while the size is in stock. Send the unworn item back within 14 days of delivery and tell us the size you need. You pay the cost of sending it to us and the shipping of the new item.

3. Made-to-order pieces

A piece is made to order when you ask for a model in a colourway we don't normally offer, or for any alteration (for example a custom length). We confirm these by email before we start, and they take up to 10 working days to make. Made-to-order pieces cannot be returned under the right of withdrawal, because they are made to your specification (45/2014. (II. 26.) Korm. rendelet 29. § (1) c)). Your legal guarantee still applies.

4. Faulty items: your 2-year legal guarantee

If an item is faulty, you are protected by the legal guarantee (kellékszavatosság) for 2 years from delivery. Contact us with a photo and a short description. We will repair or replace the item; if that is not possible, we will refund you or offer a price reduction. Damage caused by misuse or by a lack of care (see our care guide) is not covered.

5. Repairs

Leather can be repaired. After the guarantee, or for wear and tear, we offer paid repairs: a carabiner replacement costs 2,000 HUF per item, and we quote other repairs by email.

6. Complaints

We answer complaints by email within 30 days. If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you can turn to the conciliation board (békéltető testület) for your place of residence. Consumers in other EU countries can get free help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
